Sophie Haviland, RCST
We are more like plants than we think we are
“When the body and mind feel safe our ability to be naturally creative and productive flourishes. The mind is in concert with the body. As we are supported to become aware of the internal and external forces that have shaped us we can access profound forms of creative expression and peacefullness, enhancing our lives and the lives of those around us ”
Sophie Haviland RCST
Sophie Haviland is a certified craniosacral therapist based in Canberra, Australia. She is a graduate of Body Intelligence training and a Registered Practitioner and Therapist with PACT (Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists).
After working professionally in the performing arts in New York and Europe, Sophie has returned to Australia to continue her work as a craniosacral therapist.
Sophie has travelled extensively – through North and South America, Europe and Asia – and has a strong interest in cultural difference and perception. Her experience working with performers and artists internationally and her lifelong ties to anthropology deeply inform her craniosacral practice.
Sophie has a keen interest in supporting the nascent creative potential in all of us. This is a core element of her approach to craniosacral work.
Touch – as a means of healing – has long been an accepted and respected practice in every culture worldwide. Our human bodies hold the stories of our life experience. We respond to our environment through our minds and our bodies. Craniosacral Therapy can support our true expression of self – the nascent potential in each of us.
